Pets

• Pets provide valuable companionship and unconditional love to the elderly
• They are especially valuable to elderly persons who are homebound
• Many vets will provide free pick-up and delivery for veterinary care for pets of the elderly
• In addition, some vets will give senior discounts for care
• Some organizations will help the elderly obtain a pet at a nominal cost
