• I know this may be hard to reconcile, but what I think is going on here is when you ask an impaired elderly patient about their pain, you don't ask them about their pain 24 hours ago, you don't ask them about their pain two weeks ago, you ask them about their pain right now
• I think that everybody is probably much more accurate about reporting the pain that they are experiencing right now, at that moment
