Case #1
When Dotty Jones' husband died suddenly she was devastated. He had been her best and for the last 10 years since his retirement her only friend. Most of her old friends had either died or moved away to be close to relatives. Dotty felt lonely, isolated and worst of all angry with her husband for having left her alone. She didn't know what to do with her time and energy. Within six months Dotty had fallen into a deep depression and found herself constantly fatigued and disinterested in all her former hobbies and interest. Her children talked to her on the phone at least weekly and became concerned for her welfare.
