Vision Changes
- In the dry form, the retinal changes are very slow but are occurring without bleeding or new blood vessel formation
- Here, treatment is sometimes ineffective and may not be warranted
- In the wet type of macular degeneration, which dry can convert to, a new blood vessel or a current blood vessel may be leaking, such that blood or plasma is accumulating inside the retinal tissue
