Take moment and imagine being a primary care physician working at any local health care clinic in the United States. Your next patient coming into the exam room could be a migrant farm worker who has recently arrived from Cancun, Mexico, or an African American father who has lived all his life in a Gainesville housing development. She could be a Russian immigrant in Brooklyn, a Vietnamese grandmother in Seattle, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Nation living in Minneapolis, or a pregnant teenager living on the streets of Hollywood.
