Case 1

A 64-year-old male presented with vague symptoms about the right ilium.
A: An AP radiograph of the ilium at presentation. He refused further proferred diagnostic studies or treatment.
B: Repeat radiograph one year later.
    C: Three years later.
D: Five years later. He now was incapacitated and consented to a biopsy.
E: A representative field from the needle biopsy. The mass of malignant round cells are typical of lymphoma.
F: An electron micrograph of a cell in the H and E stained histosection. The indentation in the nucleus in this cell forms the "kidney bean" shape characteristic of histiocytic lymphoma.
G: Another EM from the same specimen. The same shape is seen in the nucleus of the cell in the upper left.

Diagnosis: Histiocytic Lymphoma

The patient recieved radiation therapy with an excellent response. He died 2 years post-treatment of unrelated causes.
