| About the Office of Medical Informatics |
The Office of Medical Informatics was created by the Dean in 1990 to enhance the medical education and patient care missions of the College of Medicine. For more than twelve years our office has endeavored to develop appropriate and cost-effective information technologies in these areas:
|
|---|---|
| Online Evaluation and Assessment | The Office of Medical Informatics has pioneered Internet-based evaluation since 1996. Today the vast majority of program, faculty and student evaluation is done online. The system consists of several components that are outlined below. The Office of Medical Education will issue a six character passcode in order for you to access these systems. Do not share this passcode with anyone! If for any reason you have problems with your passcode or if you would like to request a new one, contact Glenda Railey at 392-3690. |
| EvalCGI | This is the major evaluation and testing program. It is located at: http://medinfo.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/eval.cgi Depending on your circumstances you will have privileges to view, submit and/or administer various forms and directories within evalCGI. Many forms are anonymous and this is clearly indicated at the time of submission. |
| EvalFolio | Students, residents and faculty may all use this "online portfolio" to check their personal evaluation data at any time. To access this service go to: http://medinfo.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/evalfolio.cgi Department chairs and other administrators also have the ability to view this data for annual evaluations and other official purposes. |
| EvalToolkit | If you direct a course or other program you will have administrative access to one or more evaluation directories on the server. An "Evaluator's Toolkit" is available for this purpose: http://medinfo.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/evaltoolkit.cgi You should regularly review the data collected on your behalf. You must "release" data for viewing through EvalFolio. |
| Testing Center (CG-28) |
The Testing Center schedule is available online at: http://medinfo.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/ecal.cgi?testing To schedule a test call Nancy Hendricks at 392-3690.
