Horizontal Rule

One or more dash (-) characters on a line will create a horizontal rule as follows:

Becomes:


Block Quote

A leading single quote (') character tags a line as a block quote as follows:

'This is a block quote. It is indented etc....

Becomes:

This is a block quote. It is indented somewhat to set it apart from other text on the page. This text is repeated to make a paragraph. This is a block quote. It is indented somewhat to set it apart from other text on the page. This text is repeated to make a paragraph. This is a block quote. It is indented somewhat to set it apart from other text on the page.

Preformatted Text

A leading equal sign (=) tags a line as preformatted as follows:

  This is a line of preformatted text.

Becomes:

  This is a line of preformatted text.

Non-Printing Text

A leading plus sign (+) tags a line as non-printing as follows:

+This is a line of non-printing text.

Becomes:

This is a line of non-printing text.

The text will be visible unless the "print" layout is in effect.

Centered Text

A leading dollar sign ($) tag will center a line as follows:

$This is a line of centered text.

Becomes:

This is a line of centered text.

Centered Headings

You can also center section headings, page headings, and logo graphics by using the dollar sign ($) tag:
