It is often useful to have one or more keyword indexes for a large suites of pages. MTX will build these indexes for you automatically. All you have to do is provide a properly formatted list of words and phrases to be indexed.
Use the keyword switch with the "%LAYOUT" tag to indicate that the page is an index:
%LAYOUT keyword
The noindex or cover switch excludes the page from indexing:
%LAYOUT noindex
Each index entry should be proceeded by the backslash (\) tag as the first character on the line. Synonyms can be delimited by subsequent tags on the same line:
\Hypertext Markup Language\HTML
The entry will be listed by the first term on the line. The synonyms are not listed. Note that index terms can appear anywhere on the page and do not have to be in alphabetical order.
