What's New in MTX 1.5?

Page Headings and Page Logos

The %HEADING and %LOGO page tags have been superceded by special section heading tags (leading #!, leading #!!). This allows much greater placement flexibility for these elements. The older tags are also supported for backward compatibility. The %ICON page tag has been eliminated.

Creation and Expiration Date Stamps

Two new page tags, %CREATED and %EXPIRED, provide appropriate date stamps.

On-line Testing

A companion CGI program, quizCGI, allows on-line testing and grading.

Embedded QuickTime Movies

Movies can be displayed in-line using the QuickTime plug-in for Netscape and other browsers.

New Text Formats

Tags for Big, Small, ^Superscript, and _Subscript have been added.

Non Printing Text

Paragraphs beginning with a leading plus sign (+) will be suppressed when the print layout is specified.
