Dr. Nancy Price Mendenhall is the associate chair, Department of Radiation of Oncology at Jacksonville, and the Medical Director of the Florida Proton Therapy Institute. She attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate- majoring in English Literature, and as a medical student. After completing her residency at the University of Florida she joined the Department of Radiation Oncology. In 1992 she became Department Chair, the first woman chair at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She was chair of the Department in Gainesville until 2006, when she stepped down to serve as Medical Director of the new Florida Proton Therapy Institute. The author or numerous articles, she also has repeatedly listed as one of the best doctors in America in the reference book for breast cancer and lymphoma.
