Malarial therapy--1917
- Inject 5-10 cc of serum from patients infected with Plasmodium vivax.
- Allow 10-12 paroxysms of fever to 103-106, each of 6-12 hour duration.
- Give quinine to break.
- 20-30% complete remission.
- 1928 Nobel Prize in Medicine.
