- Discussion of a PalmIII/CPRS pilot study at the VA (Dr. Klioze)
- During the months of October and November, one ward team will use JFile to record patient data that will then be uploaded into the CPRS electronic patient record.
- Demonstration of PatientKeeper (Dr. Davidson)
- This new shareware program has several features that make it useful for students, residents and faculty who care for patients in the hospital.
- Discussion of IR printing in the hospital (Dr. Rathe)
- As a group we need to build a prioritized list of locations for IR enabled printers.
- These should work with both handheld and laptop computers.
- Group Consensus: 55, 75, 4th floor (Peds?), 9th floor (Med/Surg), 2nd floor (SICU?)
- Discussion of Internet resources (Dr. Rathe)
The new PalmOS products from Handspring have been announced.
- Uses the PalmOS
- Backward compatible with the PalmIII
- Has a new Springboard expansion slot for modems, memory, etc.
