What is Q Fever?
- Acute infectious disease caused by Coxiella burnetii
- Similar to Rickettsia and to Legionella
- Incubation 14-26 days (19 days average)
- Most commonly contracted by inhalation of dry, airborne contaminated dust
- Found in sheep, cattle, goats, cats, dogs, wild rodents, birds and ticks
