Essentials of Patient Care I - Fall 2009 (BMS 6015)
Welcome to Essentials of Patient Care! This is "EPC I," the first semester of a four semester introduction to clinical medicine. In these courses, you will develop the skills you need to communicate with patients and examine them. You will learn to integrate the history and physical examination findings with the scientific basis of disease to develop a differential diagnosis and treatment plan. A unique feature of the course is the opportunity for students to interact in an intimate setting with peers and clinical faculty. This provides a nurturing environment in which to learn to interact with patients and learn clinical decision making skills.
