  1. LEARNING ACTIVITIES OVERVIEW
  1. Laboratory Assignments. Students will spend the majority of their time in a small group setting. Each student is expected to be an active participant. Students will be divided into groups of six. Within each group there will be an orange team (3 students) and a blue team (3 students). For each laboratory period, each team will wither be responsible for a specific dissection on the study of prosections and cross-sections
  2. Case-Based Discussions. The discussions are framed in a clinical presentation format to guide students' learning and to emphasize the gross anatomy and embryology of the human body. The students will need to consult their reference text for specific details. The discussion format is based upon integrating relevant anatomic information and principles.
  3. Team Assignments. There will be six-member teams, which will be grouped into the two, three-membered units. Only one three-membered unit will dissect at a time. The two, three-membered units will interact in peer-teaching and peer learning.
  4. Anatomy Grand Rounds
