Dear Class of 2010,

Welcome to the Clinical Diagnosis 2008 Course! This course aims to serve as a bridge from the basic sciences to the clinical years by emphasizing the application of factual knowledge to addressing a patient's symptoms and/or presenting problem. Accordingly, the course stresses clinical problem solving and focuses on the skills needed to diagnosis patients with common clinical presentations. These skills will serve as a foundation on which to build for the remainder of your medical careers. The course faculty are enthusiastic and seasoned clinicians who are dedicated to medical student education: All are dedicated to making this an effective course year after year.

As the Course Director my goal is to make this a superior learning experience for you, and I am here to assist you through the process. In order to get the most out of this course, I ask that you attend the lectures and small groups, and focus on achieving the objectives laid out for you.
