What was her problem?
Her problem was related to the large number of medications that she was taking, and there are a lot of reasons that this happens. It's all too common that patients present with this particular finding.
Why does it happen? Well, first, we're in an age of specialization where you go to the right ear specialist and the left ear specialist, and neither of whom knows that the other is prescribing medications. We've got the psychologist, we've got the psychiatrist, we've got the gynecologist, we even have dentists and others prescribing, and oftentimes there's little coordination.
