Strength in the Elderly -- Warm-up and Cool Down

Older muscles take more time and coddling to adjust to physical activity than do younger muscles.

So, each exercise session should begin with a 10 to 15-minute general body warm-up.

This warm-up should start with stretching activities followed by calisthenics, brisk walking, cycling, or some other cardiovascular activity.
