Breast Cancer Screening in the Elderly
- Less influential risk factors for breast cancers are that of the nulliparous woman who has never had a child or the woman whose first pregnancy was after the age of 30.
- Patients who have menarche very early before the age of 12 and delay in menopause after the age of 50 seem to have an increased risk for the development of breast cancer.
- Post menopausal obesity and a history of certain other malignancies such as ovarian or endometrial cancer also are considered risk factors for the development of breast cancer.
