The sensitivity of DCBE has been estimated to be between 50% and 90% for polyps larger than 1 cm and 65% to 85% for Dukes A and B cancer.

In contrast, the sensitivity of colonoscopy to detect the larger polyps has been found to be between 94% and 100%.
