The most common skin cancer is basal cell carcinoma, which accounts for about 85% of all the skin cancers that we see.
These are found on the face, ears, neck, primarily, but also in any of the sun-exposed areas.
Now it's known that the primary cause of basal cell carcinoma is sun exposure, and it's more common in those individuals who have light complexion, who are older or who have a family history of basal cell carcinoma.
