Recognizing Skin Cancer in Older Adults -- Malignant Melanoma

The third variety of melanoma is the so-called "nodular" melanoma.

These are rapidly-growing, quick onset tumors that may be red, brown, blue. The color depends on the degree of cell differentiation -- that is, can the cells produce melanin pigment?

If they're well differentiated, it will be colorful. If it's poorly differentiated, then it may be red or skin-colored.
