Recognizing Skin Cancer in Older Adults -- Malignant Melanoma

The final type of melanoma is the so-called "Acrile Antiginous" melanoma.

This is typically found on the extremities, the nose, or the ears.

It starts as a flat lesion that develops nodules or bumps over a course of, sometimes, a very short period of time.

It usually has a poor outcome, probably due to either delayed diagnosis or the possibility that this variant of melanoma is simply more aggressive than the other clinical variants.
