Recognizing Skin Cancer in Older Adults -- Malignant Melanoma: Diagnosis
How does one make the diagnosis of melanoma clinically?
The best way to do that is to remember the A-B-C-D rule. In this rule,
- A stands for Asymmetry
- B for irregular Border
- C for irregular Color and
- D for Diameter, that is a diameter greater than 6mm.
- This is, as a standard, the size of a typical pencil eraser.
