These infections are particularly rare in other sites of the body and very often if they are grown from sputum or from a wound or a skin source, they should probably not be treated with antibiotics because these are not particularly invasive bacteria and are unlikely to cause any kind of serious morbidity or even mortality when occurring in those locations.
