Loss of Loved Ones -- Widowhood & Family

Let me move to a widespread occurrence in our lives, and that is Widowhood and its impact on the family.

The death of the marital partner is obviously the most prevalent form of family dissolution.

It requires the development of alternative patterns of behavior if the survivors are to maintain satisfactory relations within the family, with the kin group, and, in fact, with the community. Such new patterns of behavior are critical to sustain personal equilibrium.
