Spiritual Healing

In terms of spiritual healing, it has not been my personal experience to know of a widespread practice of spiritual healers. However, in the book, "A Pocket Guide to Culture & Nursing" the author states that "faith and root healers are used in conjunction with biomedical resources".

The author also points out the importance of the health care provider knowing that this client is not likely to share such information with their medical practitioner and therefore suggests that the practitioner should make an effort to assess the client's knowledge of their illness and beliefs.
