I think it's very important to talk about language as we talk about the African-American elderly, especially those in the south, because language may or may not be a factor when talking with the elderly African-American client. It may also be a factor.

If, however, there is evidence of the African American Folk Language, it would be helpful to know where the transference of sounds are made in order to understand the client's use of the language.
