The newly designed Flash MRI Atlas was created to allow maximum compatability with the largest number of browsers. Since Macromedia's Flash player is available for most browsers, it was one of the best choices for the MRI Atlas.
When you first go to the MRI Atlas page, if you are using Internet Explorer you may have an image that looks like the one below.

The page contains a script looking to see if your browser has Macromedia Flash version 7.
To continue, click on the bar at the top of the window and select "Allow blocked content".
You will probably get a box that looks like the one below, select "Yes".

If you do not have Flash you will be asked if you want to download it. To view the Flash MRI Atlas, Macromedia Flash player 7 or greater is required.
Later on you may get this window at the top as well, if you wish to save the images, select to allow pop-ups.
The MRI Atlas Flash file is roughly 14MB so it may take several minutes to load, depending on your internet connection.
When the Flash first starts up the page will look similar to the image below.

Each of the windows inside the Flash browser window can be moved using the top bar.

At the bottom of each of the view Windows (e.g. Sagittal View above) there are navigation controls to allow moving picture by picture. Right will increment the slice, Left will decrement the slice.
You can also click directly on any of the 3 pictures and it will navigate to the cooresponding pictures in the other two windows after calculating where the mouse click was located.

The Coordinate/Slices window displays the the Coordinate information and the current slice for each of the windows.
You can use this window to navigate to the coordinates, by entering the desired coordinates in the Coordinate boxes and clicking on the "Goto Coordinates" button.
If you want to go directly to a certain picture, enter the slice number into the appropriate slice boxes and click "Goto Slice".
The .gif (e.g. Coronal .gif) will open up a new window that will allow you to save the image as a .gif file, by right clicking on the image and select save. (If you have a pop-up blocker or use the one in Internet Explorer you may need to disable them if you would like to save the images.)
